The STRAY LIGHTS SESSIONS are back at Control for the second year in a row. On Wednesday, September 23, Methadone Skies and Mock Surprise take over the stage for a night of psychedelia, heavy riffs, and alternative sounds.
STRAY LIGHTS is a DIY indie/alternative music platform supporting emerging artists and the Eastern European underground scene.
Formed in Timișoara in 2009, Methadone Skies is an independent psychedelic rock band with six albums to its name, each exploring a different musical direction. Moving freely between stoner rock, post-rock, doom metal, and progressive rock, the band has never imposed limits on its sound. Every release brings together new influences, constant experimentation, and a distinct sonic identity.
Mock Surprise is an energetic alternative rock quartet formed in 2019. Blending genres and influences, the band is constantly searching for new directions and new ways to disguise its pop leanings. Switching between noisy aggression and gentle restraint, Mock Surprise brings an experimental and ambitious edge to the Eastern European underground rock scene.
