On Friday, September 19, our stage welcomes WARFIELD - the debut solo venture from She Wants Revenge’s lyricist and frontman, Justin Warfield.

Channelling the spirit of early-’80s Los Angeles deathrock, classic 80s British alternative, and the sleek edge of modern darkwave, he takes familiar echoes from the past and twists them into something unmistakably his own.

Having collaborated, remixed, and featured on songs ranging from Placebo, Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Gary Numan, Childish Gambino, The Crystal Method, and others, Justin has also released albums from projects Dream Club, Forever Never Changes, and the 2011 Hip-Hop mixtape, The Black Hesh Cult.

Now, after several lifetimes of music spanning genres, styles, eras, and past lives, his album "Deathrock Devotionals Vol I" explores elements of all his past projects, but with an urgent, stripped down, hard, dark, and frenetic energy.

Citing influence from Kommunity FK, Siouxsie, early Christian Death, Super Heroines, The Nymphs, Killing Joke, The Damned, Xmal Deutschland, as well as evergreen favorites The Smiths, and New Order, WARFIELD embodies the spirit of what’s come before, while pointing a way forward to what’s next.

Merging the theatrical intensity of Diamanda Galás with the brooding undercurrents of Bauhaus, She Past Away and Lebanon Hanover, +SHE+ crafts a sonic world where vulnerability meets defiance. Their sound is a sensual descent into shadow - haunting vocals, intimate lyrics, and a palette stitched from darkwave, post-punk, and drama-pop.

To fully experience the depth of their latest record, it must be taken as a whole - a visceral, personal journey through Corina’s psyche, tracing the contours of trauma, identity, self-expression, and some of the rawest edges of human emotion.

Corina’s stage presence is shapeshifting, from a vampire-esque figure with long dark hair to her knees, headbanging with a powerful stance, to a slender, delicate being conducting the listeners with her hand gestures.
